Deployment Officer - Pricing Control

We are seeking an experienced Deployment Officer to work within Price Controls Team of a Federal Government organisation. The Price Controls Team manages economic regulation and seeks to ensure that market settings are appropriate to the maturity of providers and consumers. The Deployment Officer will contribute to the consideration of price controls and other market interventions, as well as market monitoring and reporting. You will assist with consultation to internal and external stakeholders, particuarly with regard to practical and technical matters.

About the position:
  • Contribute to the development of public and internal consultation on technical issues related to market stewardship.
  • Developing briefing material and reports for senior stakeholders.
  • Preparing communications documents and responding to enquiries as required. Providing thorough information and effective support to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Liaising with internal and external subject matter experts to collect information and co-ordinate action.
  • Development, implementation and maintenance of systems and processes
  • Quality assurance for pricing deployments
  • Assist with the technical deployment of annual indexation process and biannual major policy reviews
  • Create upload sheets for IT system changes
  • Assist with maintaining Price Guide, Support Catalogue and related documents
About You:
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Highly developed quantitative skills
  • Ability to develop finding through analysis of complex data sets
  • Outstanding research and analysis skills
  • Strong numerical skills and good attention to detail
  • Ability to organise work effectively and maintain high work standards under pressure
  • Strong, adaptable interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven history of building strong relationships with both internal & external stakeholders 
  • Government experience desirable
This is a twelve month contract position, based in Geelong and paid at an hourly rate of $45.74 p/hr + super.
