Digital Workspace Manager

The Role and Opportunity

You will be working as a Digital Workspace Manager in a business critical division for our national University client. As part of the End User computing Services Group within the Corporate Services Portfolio, you will be responsible for developing the University’s evolving digital IT workplace environment across Administration, Teaching and Learning and Research.
 
Responsibilities
  • Ensuring availability of the Managed Operating Environment across all campuses, to meet the requirements of the University
  • Developing, defining and standardising the end user digital computing environment
  • Ensuring collaboration across the IT Directorate/University, keeping up to date with developments within the internal University and wider external IT environments
  • Leading, motivating and challenging a team of highly specialised self-motivated technical staff to maintain a service/customer/business focused culture within the IT Infrastructure Communication Services operational areas and processes
  • Managing risk and having to contend with unexpected and unplanned events, which require the effective use of risk, change and problem management skills and strategies
Mandatory Requirements
  • Postgraduate qualifications and relevant management experience; or a Tertiary management/computing/engineering degree with proven IT expertise and supervisory experience
  • Project management certification in Prince2 or PMBOK or PMP
  • Proven and demonstrated experience of management skills in the management of stakeholders, technical people, services and project management
  • Proven visionary and demonstrate experience to innovate and develop vision for the digital workspace environment
  • Proven experience in developing continuous improvements in the provision of end user computing services
