Diploma trained Room Leader

We are seeking a Diploma trained Early Childhood Educator for a high quality, exceeding, privately owned centre. Located on the Lower North Shore, it boasts a large natural outdoor environment, sought after reputation, and a welcoming team environment.

Working at this centre, you will join a team of educators that are passionate, genuine and experienced in providing outstanding care to children between 0 and 6 years old.

 
This is a fulltime position working 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday. The centre is open 50 weeks a year, closed over the Christmas and New Year period. All staff are treated equally in this centre, there is no hierarchy but everyone collaborates together and has equal input into staff duties and childrens planning.

 Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  •          The design and implementation of a high quality educational program.
  •          Developing and maintaining individual child portfolios keeping staff and families abreast of childrens development stages.
  •          Effectively communicate with team members to ensure smooth running of the daily routines and general operation of the centre.
  •          Enhance children’s developmental areas based on their interests.
  •          Interact and supervise indoor/outdoor activities.
  •          Develop and build long term professional relationships with co-workers, families and children.
 
The successful candidate will have:
  •          A Diploma in Children’s Services or equivalent qualification as recognised by ACECQA.
  •          Current First Aid Certificate.
  •          Minimum 1 year experience working in early childhood setting.
  •          Great written and verbal communication skills.
  •          Enthusiasm & commitment to the early childhood sector.
  •          A passion for working with families to ensure optimum outcomes for their children.
