Document Controller/Data Cleansing Officer

Ignite is a current supplier of contract and permanent staff to the Utilities, Engineering, and Local Government sectors across Perth and Western Australia.
We are currently assisting one of our clients recruit a Document Controller/Data Cleansing Officer on a 3 day per week basis.  This is an initial 12 month contract too, meaning you can make the role your own.

This role sits within their Engineering division, and will see you provide support with Data Management, Data Cleansing and some Document Control.  You’ll be working with other Ignite contractors too, so you’ll be in good company.  Your duties would include:
  • Research and investigate data irregularities/anomalies / duplications / multiple numbering conventions and Legacy type data Issues.
  • Execute plan for dealing with data anomalies against criteria found in ProjectWise
  • Source and populate missing data within ProjectWise
  • Manage conflicting data with ProjectWise
  • Work in a results-oriented work environment
In terms of your background, we are seeking someone who has some previous experience with Data Cleansing and Document Control.  You’ll need to have a good eye to detail – although in a Data Management and Document Control role that goes without saying!  You’ll also have previous experience in a corporate environment, and experience within an Engineering based organisation would be highly regarded.  Additionally, you’ll have:
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work autonomously.
  • Experience in a Document Control Role - Supplier and Design
  • Experience using ProjectWise
  • Experience with DGN, CIT, TIFF and Raster Files
  • Strong ability to collect, analyse information in a systematic manner that results in problems and solutions being identified.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy is required
  • The ability to research for criteria such as asset and version types using ProjectWise.
  • Ability to analyse & problem-solving is essential
  • Strong computer, processing and reporting skills, particularly in Excel
