EL1 - Contract Manager

Our client, a growing Federal Government organisation, is currently looking for an EL1 Contract Manager to join their team. This is an eighteen month contract assignment that can be based in either Melbourne or Geelong.

Your main responsibilities will be as follows:
  • Providing team leadership, driving process and performance improvement whilst managing a portfolio of contracts;
  • Undertaking ongoing contract management activities including performance management and reporting, contract administration, variations and extensions management and contract close out activities;
  • Monitor and drive performance and compliance in accordance with the agreement, including undertaking performance conversations and negotiations, reporting, taking corrective actions, ongoing issues and risk management.
  • Maintaining rigorous governance and assurance and record keeping over agreements within the allocated portfolio including ensuring information management, financial management, risk management and operational management requirements;
  • Leading the implementation of continuous improvement projects and ensuring change management activities are established to facilitate the implementation of improved procedures and processes, systems and knowledge management;
  • Establishing and maintaining strong business relationships with stakeholders, including host organisations and internal stakeholders;
  • Fielding and responding to enquiries, issues, disputes, requests for information, departmental brief requirements and ongoing reporting as required;
  • Prepare high quality and timely correspondence, briefs and reports as requested;
  • Manage competing priorities while maintaining high work standards and accuracy.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 3-5 years experience in a supply chain management, procurement or contract management role.
  • Relevant business, accounting, Legal or commerce degree qualification desirable.
  • Experience in a legislative and regulatory environment
  • Strong and adaptable communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate and manage resources and performance from a distance via alternative communication methods
  • Ability to manage service delivery performance
