EL1 Assistant Director, Research (Evaluation) - Geelong

Ignite are looking to hear from experienced Research and Evaluators at the EL1 level lead a team to develop and oversee implementation of the Insurance Support Branch’s evaluation strategy. 

As the evaluation lead, your role is to develop and oversee implementation of the Insurance Support Branch’s evaluation strategy. You will work closely with the Branch Manager and staff to make sure that the program of work being implemented by the Branch is being appropriately evaluated to understand progress, inform improvements, and measure outcomes. 

Your duties may include but won’t be limited to: 
  • Identify and develop the Branch’s evaluation objectives and priorities 
  • Build and manage key relationships with agency subject matter experts, including in the Office of the Scheme Actuary, to support the development of the evaluation strategy. 
  • Develop an evaluation dashboard for ongoing monitoring and reporting. 
To be successful you will have: 
  • Demonstrated experience delivering large scale reform in a Government context. 
  • Formal Research Qualifications 
  • Analytical skills to draw on research, evidence and performance reports to influence decision-making.
