I am currently recruiting for an ENMP Senior Project Accountant for a large Government organisation within Australia to start ASAP.


Position Specific
ENMP Senior Project Accountant - As the Senior Project Accountant you will be responsible for developing, managing, and reporting on all financial aspects of the ENMP Program and its sub streams.
As the Senior Project Accountant, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and reporting on all financial aspects of the ENMP Program and its sub streams. Implement and improve the Financial Control and Reporting Framework for the ENMP Program in conjunction with organisational financial policies and guidance. This includes managing the:
  • Development of ENMP Program financial plans/budgets/forecasts including annual OPEX/CAPEX plans, 5-year Capital Expenditure Plan as required by the Corporate Financial Plan.
  • Forecasts that reflect changing Program dynamics, such as increased timeframes, changes in baseline assumptions, split and partial milestone and delivery scenarios which requires close coordination of assumptions and plans with key Program stakeholders.
  • Month-end accounting process for the ENMP Program including Project and Program forecasts, complex contract financial forecast updates and variance analysis.
  • Financial reporting processes to provide appropriate levels of reporting to various stakeholders including the Head of ENMP, Chief Financial Officer, and various Boards.
  • Develop and manage the financial controls for all aspects of the ENMP program budget.
  • Regularly reviewing and implementing the WBS codes in SAP to enable labour costs to be appropriately captured against activities, and when applicable, assets; and
  • Regularly reviewing AUC balances, and when required, adjusting if there are impairment indicators, and ensuring transfers from AUC occur as assets are completed and available for use.
  • Manage the financial aspects of Vendor contracts including:
  • Owning the MSP pricing schedule and early termination payment schedule and ensuring all disbursements to the MSP are in accordance with same.
  • Tracking of costs against MSP Contracts and iBuy Contract Workspaces.
  • Maintain the ENMP Finance processes and management plan.
  • Provide financial modelling input to Business Cases and Change Impact Assessments as required.
  • Maintain an effective relationship with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective co-ordination of all finance-related activities in support of organisational objectives.
 
 
 
To be successful in this position, it is expected that the successful candidate will have the following attributes:
Skills and Experience
  • Tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, or related discipline
  • In-depth knowledge and at least 10-years’ experience in Project/Program accounting practices, particularly with respect to budgeting, forecasting, and reporting on large programs with budgets over $100m and experience with tracking Vendor contract payments and tracking.
  • Well-developed management abilities, including a proven ability to successfully manage a range of financial activities.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, representation and communication skills
  • Demonstrated resilience and adaptability in coping with pressures and setbacks that will arise in a complex program
  • Must be Australian Citizen
  • Must be able to achieve and maintain an Australian Government National Security Clearance as the required level. Desirable
  • CPA/CA membership or progression towards completion.
  • Highly skilled in use of Microsoft Excel and Data analytics.
  • Prior use of SAP (R/3, BW and BPC).
