Field Service Technician - (Coffee Machines) - Melbourne CBD - Permanent Position

Our client services a comprehensive range of traditional and automatic commercial coffee machinery to Australia’s Food Service, Corporate, and Licensed & Service Industries.
An opportunity now exists to join their service team focusing on customer’s through-out the Melbourne Metropolitan area.

Your new role:

In this role you will provide a high level of customer service, as you deliver the repair, commissioning and maintenance of a variety of coffee machine equipment located at customer sites through-out Melbourne.
Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, test and carry out routine maintenance & cleaning services on all types of commercial coffee equipment.
  • Analyse equipment faults with a high degree of diagnostic skill.
  • Repair and carry out modifications to items of equipment.
  • Ensure that equipment and installations are of good quality.
  • Use computers for diagnostic work in fault finding and general administration work.
  • Phone/technical support for clients.
  • Develop and maintain good relations with internal and external customers.
  • Maintain and adhere to operational procedures and complete appropriate documentation.
  • Maintain the service area to ensure a safe and clean work environment.
  • Execute service orders as received by the central planning team
  • Perform Installation and commissioning of coffee machines
  • Perform operator training on the coffee machine and attachments ➢ Prepare coffee recipes and machine programming
  • Perform Planned Maintenance on coffee machines
  • Perform Reactive Maintenance
  • Prepare technical reports (customer service report) for each service order
  • Provide recommendations for product improvement
  • Provide clear feedback to customer on reason for service visit
  • Participates After-hours on-call roster
  • Supports sales where required on technical topics
  • Participation in training, conferences and trade fairs  
To be Successfull in this role you will need :

Qualifications and Experience required

  •  Skills in hydraulic, mechanics and electronics
  •  Willingness to travel several days at a time without returning home
  •  Customer orientated and good communication skills
  •  General knowledge of standard computer programs
  •  Minimum 3 years’ experience as a service technician
  • Must have you own basic tools.
  • Must be able to work unsupervised and be available for rotating on-call roster for week-ends and after hours service calls.
  • Specialist tools and specific equipment training will be provided.
  • Electrical or Electronics trade qualifications or equivalent
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Excellent problem solving and fault finding skills
  • High degree of customer service and professional personal appearance
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and listening skills
  • Must have the right to work in Australia.
