Fraud Data Analyst

Location: Braddon, Canberra
Requirement: Australian Citizen

Seeking experienced Fraud Data Analyst at EL1 level, for one of our government clients.

Duties: 
  • The role requires you to work independently and as part of a small team to deliver outcomes.
  • You will development and gathering of complex requirements to develop risk profiles and data analysis products.
  • You will use analytical tools such as SAS and Teradata to interrogate and combine dataset to detect and analyse fraud and non-compliance risks.  
  • You will apply logical thought and problem solving skills on both urgent tactical issues and more long term projects.
  • You will develop process maps, procedures and supporting documentation for data analysis and reporting and undertake quality assurance processes and tasks.
  • You will bring extensive data analysis experience to contribute to the strategic direction of the branch’s data analytics capability.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas: 
  • Experience with complex data analysis
  • Experience using SAS, Teradata and other data analysis tools
  • Exposure to tool development and automation with Microsoft Excel, Access and VBA
  • A sound understanding of compliance and fraud detection practices
  • A sound understanding of the role and responsibilities of the Agency
  • A strong understanding of data preparation and analysis
