Purpose of Position:
The primary role of the GIS Analyst is to update and maintain Council's Land Information System (Infor Pathway Property) and Council's Geographic Information System (GIS). The role is responsible to Statutory requirements and this dictates the allocation of Street Addressing, Road Naming proposals, and the recording of Council correspondence within Council's Records Management System/Systems.
Accountabilities:
The primary role of the GIS Analyst is to update and maintain Council's Land Information System (Infor Pathway Property) and Council's Geographic Information System (GIS). The role is responsible to Statutory requirements and this dictates the allocation of Street Addressing, Road Naming proposals, and the recording of Council correspondence within Council's Records Management System/Systems.
Accountabilities:
- Provide timely and accurate parcel Based information to facilitate the issuing of Section 10.7 Certificates to Council customers.
- Provide Property Numbering letters to approved Development Applications and other non-standard requests for land information
- Ensure any property related issues/requests/complaints are fully investigated with a desire
- Ensure that customer expectations are being met and provide a level of service to meet or exceed customer service and industry standards.
- Promote the LIM Team within Council as a support mechanism for achieving business outcomes.
- Communicate on a regular basis with the LIM Team Leader Attend regular team meetings to allow effective planning and communication.
- Appropriate tertiary qualification in a Land and/or Property related discipline and/or 2-4 years of relevant experience in the Local Government or Real Estate Industry.
- Current Class C Drivers Licence.
- Technical expertise in a Property Information System application.
- Able to accurately interpret and explain property information.
- Data entry and word processing skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to an ever-changing computer environment and the ability to work in a team environment with minimum supervision. Strong customer focus in delivering desired outcomes. Provide accurate and timely information and the ability to think clearly.
- Tertiary qualifications in the GIS/Spatial field.
- Working knowledge of Property systems, GIS and CAD applications.
- Have a willingness to learn and share knowledge Use of one of the following applications:
- AutoCAD Map 3D/ MapInfo (Spatial/GIS);
- Infor (Pathway Property).
