The Opportunity
This role provides an opportunity for you to use your creative digital skills to contribute to one of Australia’s biggest social reforms.
Providing high-quality creative digital services and advice to the Strategic Communications team, you will enjoy working collaboratively to support the delivery of internal and external communication objectives for the Agency.
You will work with other team members to support communication to internal and external audiences through the development of creative digital content for publications, interactive content for online, videos and other channels.
Putting participants at the heart of everything you do, you will be an ambassador for accessible design and the organisation’s brand. You will embrace feedback and be able to give and take creative direction to produce accessible digital, print and online content.
You will be a self-starter as the role operates in a fast-paced and changing environment, where resilience and flexibility are essential.

Key Duties
The role is busy and diverse, and key duties include (but are not limited to):
  • Designing a wide range of hard copy print and digital communications collateral and elements, including brochures, booklets and icons.
  • End-to-end video production including managing the filming and post-production editing of internal videos
  • Providing strategic and considered creative advice on communication activities and strategies.
  • Developing strong networks and positive relationships with external contractors, specifically within the printing, graphic design, photography and video production industries, to effectively coordinate third party creative projects.
  • Managing the branch’s input and access to the corporate image library, including coordinating photo shoots and managing the consent process.
  • Contributing to the regular development, delivery and review of strategic communications content through established internal communication channels.
  • Preparing high-quality, clear and accessible collateral that meets the needs of participants and other audiences and aligns with the organisation’s brand.
  • Escalating reputational risks associated with communication activities.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong internal and external networks to facilitate development and delivery of effective, targeted and timely communication activities.
  • Sharing knowledge within the Strategic Communications branch and helping to build communication capability in other areas of the Agency.
  • Fostering creativity and innovation in digital content creation across a range of channels.

        Essential Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications or extensive relevant experience in graphic design and video production.
  • Presentation of a strong design portfolio is highly desirable.
  • Extensive experience and high proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Premier Pro.
  • Relevant experience or tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, journalism or similar field.
  • Lived experience of disability or an understanding and passion for achieving quality outcomes for people with disability.
  • Solid understanding of accessibility requirements, including having worked within WCAG 2.0guidelines and the ability to produce tagged
Entry Level checks will be required for all successful candidates and dependent on the role the appropriate working with children and/or vulnerable people checks may need to be undertaken as per State Legislation.
