Information Management Compliance Officer

An Information and Records Management specialist is required by this state government organisation to help achieve best use of their EDRM system. 


Primary purpose of the role
The primary purpose of the role is to build and develop a community of practice for records management and business processes to best achieve business and information management benefits through the use of the Electronic Data Records Management (EDRM) system.
 
In this role you will ensure that the business improvement processes comply with legislation and records management procedures. Championing the discipline within the projects and programs around the importance of records management, the role continually works towards business and process improvement, resulting in system uptake.
 
You will manage and maintain a cohort of Super-users (150) through the provision of training and regular forums to educate, inform and gather feedback on system performance and enhancement opportunities and to ensure awareness of the likely impact of decisions or proposed changes.
 
We are looking for highly organised, diligent individual who has understanding of corporate and technical record types and statutory records compliance. You will have strong stakeholder management and strong written communication skills.
 
Essential Requirements
  • High level demonstrated experience in using electronic document management system/s and understanding of corporate and technical record types, including the management of business classifications schemes, security management and oversight of the usability and quality of the data held within various systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge of statutory records compliance requirements, including relevant legislation, standards and regulations
  • Federated records management experience and/or working knowledge of enterprise architecture
  • Degree in information or computer science
  • Ability to map file structures and user groups to a file plan – digitally
  • Ability to write clearly and concisely, document process or process changes and update the compliance framework system
  • Ability to work autonomously and run the super user forums every second month
  • Ability to pick up systems quickly
  • Not cut corners and follow through on system changes and documentation
 The successful candidate will need to be customer service focussed and pragmatic in an environment of change.
