Information Management Project Coordinator

This is an opportunity to work as part of a building refurbishment project for a government organisation in the Sydney CBD.  They have set space and storage consolidation goals to be met by all departments.  An important part of facilitating these activities is the identification of papers, corporate information and objects (including sensitive/historic documents, keys, etc) currently stored onsite. These assets then require assessment to determine whether they can be disposed of, or whether they are required to be retained on-site, digitised or accessioned into the archive.
This opportunity is for an estimated period of 12 months to co-ordinate and lead these activities in consultation with relevant teams. An ideal candidate would have:
  • An information management background
  • Well-developed scheduling and co-ordination skills;
  • Great communication skills (verbal and written);
  • Good problem identification skills and ability to consult with relevant teams to define solutions
  • Pro-active disposition and ability to work independently.
Tasks may include:
  • In consultation with Information and Workplace departments, plan a schedule of corporate information assessments, noting peak workloads for departments and project construction time frames
  • Help develop briefing materials, communications and support guides for the detail of the information management activities to be undertaken and ensure these are incorporated or aligned with overall project messaging by the project.
  • Liaise with stakeholders in departments and provide direction on the processes
  • In consultation with departments, manage and co-ordinate the progress against the work schedule, the resolution of any issues, regular briefing of key stakeholders and communication and change management associated with clean-up activities.
  • Support departments with administrative activities where required (such as registering information to be retained into TRIM)
  • Liaise with key staff in Information and Workplace Departments to ensure information management and facilities management obligations are met.
