Liaison Officer- APS6

Our client is seeking a Liaison Officer to be responsible for providing a direct point of contact for local members. The role will work with key line areas to resolve constituent issues, and proactively manage relationships with local members and their offices.

Your duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Establishing and maintaining a productive and professional relationships with allocated local members
  • Establishing productive and professional relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Providing local members with information on the purpose, scope and progress of community projects
  • Recording details of complaints and enquiries and escalating if required
  • Planning public events for local members and the Agency
  • Coordinating input into briefings for the Minister, Assistant Minister and Executives.
To be considered you must possess the following skills and experience:
  • Proven experience in communications and engagement
  • Demonstrated knowledge of issues facing regional and remote communities in the Northern Territory
  • Experience working with parliamentarians or ability to draw parallels with experience in similar roles
  • Experience preparing government briefs
  • Experience in community event planning
