An exciting opportunity exists for a senior librarian with a university library. Starting ASAP this 12 month contract is to cover parental leave and assist with implementing several Library IT projects across 6 campuses in Australia and New Zealand.

- Manage and monitor the LMS, and all associated systems and platforms to ensure they operate to their optimal capacity
- Develop and deliver appropriate systems for data-gathering, analysis and reporting based on business performance metrics and/or user analytics to support strategic planning and decision making
- Assist in implementing application program interfaces (API’s) to optimise existing systems, including testing, system upgrades and enhancements
- Manage inter-relationships with internal and external systems, including coordination of online interfaces and data exchanges. Resolve complex problems and liaise with colleagues on issues related to the library's digital presence
- Oversee the on-going operation of the library's digital presence, providing technical expertise, day to day administration, and broad support to ensure best practices are met
- Report on the library's digital presence performance, meeting targets and evaluation metrics
- Liaise with stakeholders including vendors, internal IT staff for implementation and trouble-shooting issues.
- Relevant degree or graduate diploma with relevant work experience and/or eligibility for membership of the Australian Library and Information Association
- Knowledge and/or experience in a range of library and information systems and processes including technical services, collection development and information services
- Demonstrated experience in successfully implementing systems
- People management skills, results orientation and sense of personal accountability
- Proven track record of working to tight timeframes, problem solving, and working in a challenging and fast paced environment
- Ability to exercise judgement in dealing with a range of technical, operational and/or conceptual tasks and to demonstrate flexibility and sound decision making within agreed boundaries
- Strong interpersonal skills, excellent relationship management and customer service skills
- Experience in higher education library environment.
