Seeking a Microsoft Access Developer who can assist in a project to improve an existing Access Database System within a Government department. Your role will involve updating and enhancing the system, which currently runs on SQL Server.
Role specifics:
• Permanent residency or Australian citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain police check.
• Canberra or remote work.
• 6-month contract with extension options.
Duties:
• Perform the build and uplift activities required in order to remediate the existing MS access database, and in line with the legislation.
• Review and scope user stories to be developed in the new system.
• Review and understand current system functionality, determine the optimal way of delivering new and enhanced functionality in a way that improves the user experience.
• Document code changes in a way that enables ongoing system maintenance and support.
Demonstrated experience:
• Within Microsoft Access 2016 running on SQL Server in Azure.
• Develop and update existing system interfaces with other Territory applications (e.g. GIS)
• Understanding of full product lifecycle, from design to implementation, validation, documentation, and maintenance.
• Perform application testing and validation, documentation and build automated testing procedures.
• Ability to write robust, performant, production-quality code.
