Our client is a world leader in network infrastructure and services. They require an experienced Network Engineer to joint their High Touch Engineering Team to work directly with clients as their technical advocate.
In this role your main responsibility is to help customers maximise network availability and functionality to achieve their business goals. You will deliver the technologies, solutions and services that customers need to expertly manage their networks.
Ideally you will hold a relevant tertiary qualification and a Cisco certification (ideally CCIE) and be an expert in Cisco UCS, DC and Virtualisation technologies. Experience in the following technologies including IP Inter-networking, LAN Switching, ATM, Voice technologies, IP Telephony, SAN, CDN, Optical, Wireless, IPCC, WAN protocols (Frame Relay, ISDN), IP Routing protocols (IGRP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) would be ideal. We do not expect you to know or have experience with all the above technologies but you will need to be an expert in inter-network troubleshooting in a large-scale network environment.
You also need to have excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills gained in a large-scale network environment. You must have strong customer facing skills and a commitment to the delivery of quality network support combined with the ability to work in a virtual technology team providing technical services to large enterprise level clients. Your communication skills need to be top notch.
