The Assistant Director will be responsible for a multi-disciplinary team that delivers the department’s corporate training calendar and suite of professional development programs, workforce diversity calendar and events and indigenous engagement activities. This is a busy and growing HR area that will require a candidate to be flexible and adaptable to changing and competing priorities.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience and knowledge of learning and development functions/workforce capability development, as well as related diversity matters. They will have strong planning and prioritisation skills in order to deliver a broad range of training and diversity activities throughout the year. In addition, they will have exceptional formal writing skills and experience working in a government environment delivering similar HR functions.
In this role you will
Provide strategic advice on corporate learning and development and workforce diversity functions
Manage a small team that performs diverse HR related tasks
Implement cultural and procedural change, with a focus on continuous improvement across learning and development, diversity and recruitment functions.
