PMO Analyst

Our client is seeking a PMO Analyst to be responsible for driving best practice use of quality standards, frameworks, processes and methodologies for project management delivery and for providing project scheduling support and resource and capacity planning.

You will be responsible for leading the development and delivering key project controls around risk and issues, schedule, budget, quality, and change control along with administrative and logistical support, presentations, reporting and ad hoc activities.

Your duties include but are not limited to:
  • Driving the delivery and use of Agency tools and templates (Project Online, collaboration tools, reporting templates etc)
  • Working with the PMO team and stakeholders to define processes and workflows to establish the Technology Delivery Management Framework
  • Leading the Technology Delivery Management community to ensure participation in the governance model
  • Ensuring scheduling is undertaken and consistent across delivery of Work Packages
  • Driving quality assurance which is aligned to the delivery governance model, ensuring tools, templates and processes are adhered to
  • Assisting the resource leads in rendering delivery resource and capacity planning dashboards
  • Contributing to the delivery of work packages according to stakeholder expectations, including time, cost and quality
  • Working proactively with project delivery managers ensuring stakeholder expectations are clearly articulated, documented and understood by the project delivery team
  • Supporting project delivery managers in using PRINCE2 project delivery processes
  • Establishing and managing effective relationships with stakeholders
  • Conducting reviews to ensure risks and issues related to projects and work packages are identified, assessed and mitigated effectively and in a timely manner
  • Writing concise and effective highlight and exception reports
  • Facilitating and contributing to the procurement and administration of contracts.
To be considered, you must possess the following skills and experience:
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of PRINCE2 project management methodology to deliver successful projects.
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency in the MS Office Suite (including Microsoft EPM), MS SharePoint, MS Project, JIRA, Confluence and related applications
  • Experience in a professional office environment, to include at least one year of experience providing on-site project management support to a Government client
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
  • Strong organizational skills with ability prioritize tasks
  • Ability to handle complex administrative support needs in a fast paced and rapidly evolving environment
  • Ability to summarize key takeaways from meetings (technical and non-technical) that can be translated into action
  • Excellent verbal, analytical and written communications skills.
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills – including effective listening, negotiating and dispute resolution skills
  • Demonstrated interest in project management and new tools/methodologies
