Program Coordinator

Our client is seeking to engage a Program Coordinator to support a modernisation Program team.

This role reports directly to the Program Manager and works with senior executives to create relevant briefings, papers and reports. The position will be responsible for sourcing relevant information largely autonomously and liaising with other key stakeholders to present information clearly. The Program Coordinator will also be required to manage governance pieces as they relate to the Program Manager.

It is a fast-paced environment and the expectation is that the Program Coordinator will be able to complete initial drafts in short timeframes with limited information as well as support preparation and completion of larger more strategic long-term papers.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
  • Research and prepare strategic advice, information and reports on diverse and complex strategic and operational matters
  • Provide oversight to the Portfolio Director on the status of Program timelines and risk and issue management
  • Support the operation of governance forums, tracking actions arising as required
  • Support the overall Portfolio administrative practises, designing and guiding requirements
  • Provide proactive, efficient, accurate and confidential executive support
  • Develop and actively manage key relationships, including collaborating with key stakeholders to identify opportunities, achieve outcomes and facilitate cooperation
To be considered you must possess the following skills and experience:
  • Broad experience in creating documents from the beginning and working with stakeholders to insert relevant information
  • Proven ability to communicate with stakeholders at the executive level
  • Strong written, verbal, communication skills
  • Strong experience in successfully managing and delivering results within time restraints and with competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated personal drive and integrity whilst achieving results within legislative and budget parameters
Desirable but not essential:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in management, business, public administration or similar.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Commonwealth frameworks, including Resource Management
