Project Support Officer

Our client is seeking a Project Support Officer to manage the delivery of ICT projects and to deliver outputs and products in accordance with budget and quality standards to contribute to the delivery of ICT solutions across the Department.

They are looking for a candidate with experience in finance, travel coordination, project support, governance, reporting and strategic planning.

Your duties include but are not limited to:
  • Co-ordinating the assessments of new project requests
  • Co-ordinating resource allocation based on the status of the project
  • Develop models outlining current and future skills/resource requirements
  • Management of project scheduling documents and plans
  • Co-ordinating the development of key project deliverables documentation
  • Ensure that projects operate within budget and that required forecasting/estimations are completed accurately and in a defined timeframe
  • Manage accurate and timely reporting procedures
To be considered you must possess the following skills and experience:
  • Exemplary communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and to simultaneously handle multiple and complex projects while working through competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively, analyse situations, evaluate, research and analyse data, identifying trends and preparing briefs and reports to support informed decision-making and planning
  • Demonstrated experience in providing budget and travel co-ordination within APS
  • Knowledge of project management and organisational change skills, including, monitoring and reporting on project plans, milestones and deliverables, budget and resource allocation.
A minimum NV1 security clearance is highly regarded.
