Provider Risk and Assurance

Our client, a Federal Government Agency is creating a scheme which will support a better life for hundreds of thousands of Australians with a significant and permanent disability both for now and in the future. 
 
Risk management is crucial at this stage of the agency’s evolution and there are a number of projects that need strong support across a range of risk based functions. As such there are multiple vacancies available across the following roles:
 
Risk Assurance Officer:  
  • respond to payment anomalies identified via various channels by engaging with providers
  • undertake control and conformance testing of provider payments
  • provide reports on assurance outcomes and suggest policy/procedure/system enhancements for action
  • manage training documents and reporting for payment assurance remediation and provider non-compliance
  • provide input into the preparation of advice including briefs and correspondence
  • represent the agency in discussions with providers
Risk Analyst:
  • monitor and analyse trends in mitigating risks, including risk treatment plans used to minimise potential exposure and harness opportunities.
  • assist in completion of deep dive risk assessments and risk workshops into Market, Provider and Sector Development Group Activities.
  • undertake assurance over key controls, treatments and audit items to ensure adequate quality.
  • assist in monitoring KRIs, risk appetites and tolerances.
  • investigate incidents/ issues and near misses to improve internal controls and processes.
  • support the delivery of high quality support, training and guidance to Agency staff with regards to the Agency’s risk management systems and processes.
 
Regulatory Intelligence Officer:
  • support the Assistant Director of Provider Conduct in undertaking reviews of provider claiming and other behaviours, liaise with internal teams, affected providers for resolution of issues, and support the angency Commission with provider information needs by the agency.
