Recruitment & On-boarding Support Officer APS4-101346

The HR department ensures they are able to attract, develop, motivate and retain a capable and high-performing workforce that supports the delivery of strategic goals while also focusing on the growth and development of employees.
Duties include:
  • Provide support and communication to Recruitment Officers, hiring managers and candidates throughout the Recruitment and On-Boarding process for APS, Contractor and Partner workforce.
  • Advertise both internal and external roles.
  • Promptly respond to mailbox and phone queries from stakeholders.
  • Be accountable for accurate completion of Recruitment and On-Boarding actions and projects within timeframes and quality requirements. Share own expertise with other team members.
  • Prepare and action both verbal and formal offers, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Provide specialised advice and recommendations on a range of workforce activities working within legislative and policy framework.
  • Track work into a Human Resource Management Information Systems, such as, the e-Recruit and Excel to analyse, maintain and manage data and employees.
  • Understand, analyse and interpret legislation, policies, strategies and guidelines to determine the appropriate course of action to meet changing stakeholder needs.
  • Demonstrate an awareness of the broader impacts and implications of workforce activities in relation to achieving business outcomes.
  • Resolve problems using professional knowledge and experience, the identification and development of ideas and the analysis of alternative courses of action and implications for Recruitment and On-Boarding activities.
The successful candidate(s) will be flexible, as the HR Business Services Branch works to tight deadlines, requiring you at times to work independently and to produce high quality work with strong attention to detail. Your ability to work with a high level of integrity and resolve sensitive and sometimes complex issues, build strong relationships and support internal and external stakeholders in the delivery of workforce outcomes will be fundamental to this role
