Rehabilitation Case Manager - APS6

Our client, a Federal Government Department are looking for an experienced Rehabilitation Case Manager - APS6 level to carry out complex rehabilitation activities to assist clients obtain optimum health at work and become job ready. This is a contract opportunity for initially for 12 months with a 12 months extension option.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Facilitate complex consultation and negotiate sensitively with affected workers and communicate effectively with managers and external providers
  • Analyse, maintain and manage HR related data and identify risks to the relevant work areas
  • Apply relevant employment legislation, policy, agreements and guidelines to recommend viable solutions and address complex people and health issues
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop, implement and review strategies
 
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Previous experience in a similar APS role
  • Experienced in providing sound advice and guidance on a range of complex HR matters like underperformance, conduct, claims and compensation, case management, early intervention and health management (rehabilitation and return to work) 
  • Ability to work proactively and anticipate problems, needs and expectations
  • Communicates with influence and establishes and maintains strong working relationships
