Security Training Coordinator - APS6

Ignite are working with a large federal government department who are seeking a Security Training Coordinator APS6 level. You will work closely with the Service Delivery and Enabling Services with the opportunity to expand your policy development and implementation skills in a government area that benefits the lives of a particular group of people. Initial contract until 30 June 2020 with possibility for a 12 months extension.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Map out training plans for all staff in all areas of Security
  • Design and develop training programs
  • Select appropriate training methods
  • Design, prepare and order educational aids and materials
  • Gather feedback from trainers and trainees for all training conducted
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and liaise with experts regarding instructional design
  • Host train-the-trainer sessions for all trainers
Skills and Attributes:
  • Proven work experience as a Training Coordinator, Trainer, Training Facilitator or a similar role
  • Hands-on experience coordinating multiple training events
  • Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory and implementation
  • Adequate knowledge of LMS’s and web delivery tools
  • Experience with e-learning platforms
  • Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)
  • BS degree in Education, Training, HR or related field
