Senior Customer Connections Specialist

Ignite is a current supplier of contract and permanent staff to the Utilities, Engineering, and Local Government sectors across Perth and Western Australia.
We are helping one of our clients source a Senior Customer Connections Specialist.  This position is available immediately and is a 12-month fixed term placement.  There is also the chance for extension, meaning you will get the opportunity to grow with this company. 
This company is a prominent state-wide corporation based in the heart of the Perth CBD - close to public transport, and offering modern facilities for its employees. 

This role is customer focused, however, sits within a technical and engineering environment.  You’ll be liaising with external customers and internal stakeholders, providing first class service delivery with technical issues.  Therefore, we are seeking someone with both a high standard of delivery, but also with experience in technical and engineering standards, so that you can interpret and deliver on what the customer needs.

Key responsibilities and day to day tasks include:
  • Accountable for being the senior business lead / subject matter expert (SME) for Customer Services Connections in the delivery of key strategic initiatives and projects
  • To develop and embed this SME role as the “go to” for representing Customer Services Connections on key initiatives and projects both within the function, business unit and across the business
  • To provide guidance, technical subject matter expertise leadership and support to Customer Services Connections best practice, changes and trends across the key deliverable portfolio pf projects
  • Keep up to date with the key project changes, business process changes, strategic thinking and management direction within Customer Services Connections
  • Responsible for driving resolution of cross-functional issues that impact on Customer Services Connections by having a strong solution focus, a can-do attitude and developing strong, positive relationships across the business
  • Ensuring that the key initiatives and projects involving Customer Services Connections are aligned to the business strategy and direction
As mentioned above, we are seeking someone with the combination of service delivery experience and business acumen, as well as technical and engineering experience.  Some of the key attributes that we are seeking include:
  • Tertiary Qualifications in Engineer/Business or related discipline
  • Consulting & program management experience
  • A seasoned professional with a deep range of knowledge and expertise gained through comprehensive operational experience within the utility sector.
  • Demonstrated industry experience with projects, operations and operational systems
  • Ability to form strong value-driven relationships at all levels and communicate effectively in a professional manner.
  • Able to work across organisational boundaries, deal with ambiguity and navigate competing priorities.
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills coupled with demonstrated commercial and business acumen including finance and leadership skills.
  • Excellent facilitation/ negotiation, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to advise on transforming processes and systems in line with business goals
  • Strategic perspective, strong analytical capability, ability to think conceptually, and ability to apply business context to issues
