Senior Legal Secretary | Multiple Positions

This National Leading Law firm specialising in matters that affect everyday Australians, is seeking motivated and passionate senior legal secretaries to join their dynamic team. Due to significant growth, there is a need for several Senior Legal Secretaries based in head office located in Sydney CBD. Offering a 3/2 hybrid WFH policy. The Senior Legal Secretary is required to perform routine and non-routine clerical and administrative functions to actively support the supervising solicitor in the day-to-day operations of the practice whilst being rewarded for their efforts. Your duties will include and not be limited to:
  • Liaising with internal and external stake holders including clients, barristers, courts, medical professionals
  • Drafting of correspondence including Statements, application for mediation, letters of demand, statement of claims, client statements
  • Booking of appointments, conferences, mediation settlements
  • Monitoring all incoming emails and actioning accordingly
  • Diary Management
  • Prepare pleadings for district, supreme and federal court- consent order, short minutes, affidavits
  • Billing- prepare invoices, trust account authorities
  • Updating client files and record management
  • Working collaboratively across the business and assisting where required
The successful candidate will have the below skills and experience:
  • Proven experience within a busy Senior Legal Secretarial position 
  • Experience with high volume Invoicing and Billing
  • A pro-active ability to maintain high-quality work with exceptional attention to detail
  • A demonstrated ability to work independently and organise the workload to meet tight deadlines
  • An ability to apply compassion and empathy with clients.
  • Diary management and Outlook
  • Strong client-facing and communication skills
  • Strong administrative background with excellent typing and document drafting skills
  • Experience with Common Law claims, Personal Injury, Plaintiff cases highly desired but not essential
