Ignite have partnered with an a well respected NFP Client who are looking to have a Senior Media and Communications Advisor to join their team to assist in creating innovative and engagement communication and media material for the business.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Provide strategic media advise and lead media engagement doe the business, driving a proactive approach and reactive to media strategies to support policy objectives.
- Liaise and collaborate with the Policy and Program Delivery Team to translate, advise and ensure consistency of messages align with the organisation’s strategic direction.
- Establish and drive a marketing and communications strategy, working with the executives to establish an implementation plan.
- Create innovative and engaging speeches, presentations and media releases
- Leading the social and online media management including writing news pierces and profiles for the website and various social media platforms.
- Assist with the management of a small team
- Tertiary qualifications in communications, journalism, public relations, media studies or related discipline
- Prior experience in a similar position within a NFP, Federal Department or charity ideal
- Demonstrated ability to establish, advise and implement communication plans, policy translation and strong stakeholder engagement
- Prior experience in managing online and social media, specifically press releases.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a high-pressured environment.
