Senior Program Coordinator

Ignite are currently recruiting for a Senior Program Coordinator to join a large project within a well-respected government department!
In this role, the Senior Program Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing program governance and will have 2 direct reports.
 
In this role you will be:
  • Developing and documenting processes and supporting documentation for enhanced business processes/outcomes
  • Identifying and escalating issues and risks to other subject matter experts for resolution.
  • Manage the preparation of project communications, reports and papers to the executive and governance committees.
  • Develop and implement quality management processes related to program governance and business practices.
  • Prepare and maintain various program artefacts including such as project plans, schedules, risk registers, business requirements, business process specifications, technical specifications.
  • Plan and coordinate taskforce related activities as directed.
  • Under the program and projects manager’s broad direction, work with and coordinate business subject matter experts to develop solutions to improve business process or resolve technical issues.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training, guidance material, web content for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the development of instructional materials and procedures for business processes and IT systems as a result of project initiatives.
  • Manage the activities and performance of the Project Coordinators.
 
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Demonstrated experience in coordination and execution of concurrent projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing written correspondence and reports.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to make decisions, take direction and execute a plan.
  • Strong administrative and management skills, systems orientated with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Knowledge and experience in implementing change management processes.
  • Knowledge of procurement and supplier management.
  • Strong organiation skills to deal with tight deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and practical experience in strategic risk, governance, business and systems engineering.
  • Proven ability to communicate succinctly and clearly at all levels in the organisation.
  • Proven ability to work within a dynamic team environment
