Strategic PMO Analyst

We are currently working with a client who is looking for a Strategic PMO Analyst in a Melbourne CBD location for a 12 month contract role with 2X 6 month extension options. The offered contract rate for this role is negotiable up to $500 per day.

Must be AUS citizen in order to obtain baseline or NV1 security clearance.


REQUIREMENTS SUMMARY
The Program is seeking a capable and experienced Strategic PMO Analyst to join the Program Management Office (PMO). This role is suited to a hands-on Analyst with a background in Business Management, Project Management or as part of a Program Management Office within a large ICT Program. The candidate is required to assist in ensuring adherence to documented processes and standards as well as providing relevant insights and guidance to project managers, delivery partners and key stakeholders to support program delivery and identify opportunities for continual improvement.
The successful candidate will have well-developed communication and interpersonal skills. They will be responsible for the efficient operations and compliance of PMO services within the Program and for clearly articulating program insights to key stakeholders.
The successful candidate will show initiative, be intellectually curious, possess excellent critical thinking, problem solving and quality assurance skills, and be able to work collaboratively across the organisation to achieve program objectives and benefits.
This role will support the continual development, improvement, monitoring and compliance of delivery processes and services that support the Program through implementation.

FULL REQUIREMENTS - RESPONSIBILITIES
The role will be expected to:
  • Be an integral member of the PMO team, working to achieve optimal and efficient delivery of the Program.
  • Use delivery information to understand linkages across the program, trends, and potential opportunities to support delivery while maintaining quality standards.
  • Work in conjunction with all Program teams and in consultation with the Enterprise Programme Management Office (EPMO).
  • Support the tailoring of and monitor adherence to the program delivery methodologies (predictive and iterative) including supporting policies, processes, standards, and tools.
  • Ensure the quality, transparency, and consistency of program reporting.
  • Monitor, manage, and report on scope, benefits, and deliverables across the program to provide a cohesive picture of program status and health.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the Program to support a focus on scope and benefits management within the Program.
  • Manage and maintain the Program's technical Change Request process including the support of identification, impact assessment, review, and approval/rejection of requests to any changes to agreed scope, benefits, timeframe, requirements, or costs.
  • Facilitate the execution of key document reviews, project stage gate and health check reviews, lessons learned processes and closure reporting with appropriate delivery and capability team members.
  • Active involvement in the continual improvement of all processes across the PMO services.
  • Comply with all work, health and safety policies and procedures, and take reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of employees, contractors and visitors who may be affected by your conduct.

  • Strong critical thinking abilities to draw out relevant information from multiple sources to support program delivery.
  • Well-developed collaborative skills and the ability to work with cross-functional, spatially distributed teams.
  • Strong creativity to generate improvement ideas and support their implementation.
  • Have a proven track record as an analyst within a large ICT program/s.
  • Confidence working in a scientific/technical environment.
  • Flexibility and responsiveness to environments of transformation and change.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to clearly and logically articulate insights to stakeholders.
  • Have well developed analytical and problem-solving skills and curiosity, including the ability to collect, summarise, and assess information and generate ideas.; and
  • Be able to self-organise and have a disciplined work approach.
Desirable
  • Relevant qualifications, certification, and professional membership relevant to program and project management or business intelligence are highly desirable.
  • Project management or PMO certification (Prince2, PMBOK, P30 or similar).
  • Exposure to multiple project methodologies and ways of working (predictive, iterative, Hybrid)
  • Previous experience in refining a PMO capability within an organisation and supporting end to end delivery of large-scale ICT programs of work.
