Team leader ( Civil Construction)

Our client a leading Melbourne civil contractor, is seeking an individual looking to progress their career into a team leader position. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading up to 3 project managers simultaneously, each project manager and their crew will be working on a variety of civil projects throughout the city of Melbourne.
 
This position may suit a project manager with up to 5 years’ experience within the civil infrastructure sector who is looking to move into a position that will allow them to draw on their significant experience and subsequently lead a cohesive team by providing mentor ship and project management advice to a group of high performing Project Managers.

The successful applicant will ensure a safety first culture, encourage and promote team members’ individual capabilities, have a high attention to detail. Superior communication skills, leading by example whilst being approachable, will lead to the candidate’s success.

  • works to ensure adequate delivery as per contractual requirements
  • Manage program portfolio of Minor Works
  • Managing internal stakeholders such as traffic, drainage
  • Manage and coordinate portfolio budget 
  • Report accurate information on performance of projects and risk management 
  • Stakeholder Management 
  • Mentor and train 3 x Project Managers
  • Ensure projects meet legislative requirements
  • Manage the contract with CoM for Minor Works 
  • Manage the performance of the contractors
  • Manage and coordinate required resources
  • Review and implement proposed systems and processes
  • Manager on average 300 projects through the year
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting
