systems security engineer

Position Overview
The Systems Engineer is responsible for designing and documenting solution proposals, with reference to a defined system functional baseline, to satisfy customer requirements and project/bid cost targets. This position is primarily a System Engineer with a specialisation in the Security Domain who provides technical security oversight to other teams and engineering disciplines within the project/bid, ensuring that the designed solution is implemented as per the design and in accordance to the project/bid schedule and cost constraints. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing, in accordance with processes and submitting on time and on budget to the SEM / PM solution proposals [Design and/or Architecture] to the functional baseline in the context of the project/bid to satisfy customer requirements with reference to the defined ATM functional baseline
  • Documenting solution in Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) and Engineering Change Requests (ECR)
  • preparing products (baseline documentation; SSS, SSDD, ICDs) required for internal specification reviews (e.g. SOR, SRR, SFR, PDR and CDR) and external reviews (e.g. SDR) with Customers
  • Performing peer reviews of system Engineering documentation written by other team members Maintaining the functional baseline configuration and the respective database
  • Maintaining traceability between customer requirements and the functional baseline
  • Providing support to the SW Development, Integration and Validation teams during the implementation phase of the project
  • Proposing any relevant improvement to the current set of Engineering processes
In coordination with the Systems Security Engineering Team Lead:
  • Preparing system estimates for any modification proposals to the functional baseline
  • supporting, on behalf of the relevant System Engineering Manager, the personnel engaged in the design/specification reviews
  • Ability to work within a large team
  • Ability to work within a matrix organisation
  • Delivering the quality outputs, on time, and on budget to aggressive program schedules
  • Ability to work with colleagues based in remote sites, other countries [multicultural environment]
  • Ability to analyse Customers requirements
